올레길 15번과 16번이 만나는 애월읍 고내리, 고내 포구 옆에 위치한 (salt)의 객실들은 가까운 듯 먼 제주를 조금 더 친밀하게 느낄 수 있는 공간입니다. 건물 외벽을 감싼 제주의 현무암, 제주 바다를 각기 다른 모습으로 담아낸 창들, 재료의 거친 면을 그대로 살린 건물의 내부, 익숙한 높이와 안락함에서 벗어난 가구들의 배치는 당신의 시간을 좀 더 적막하게, 차분하게, 천천히 흐르게합니다. 총 다섯 종류의 객실은 모두 바다를 향하며 1인실과 2인실로만 구성되어있습니다. 잠겨있던 소금이 뜨거운 태양 아래 자연스레 꽃을 피워 그 모습을 드러내듯, 흐르기보단 고여있음에 몰두해보세요.

Gonae-ri, Aewol-eup, where Olle Route number 15 and 16 meet, (salt) is a space where you can connect intimately with Jeju. The concept behind the architecture is raw, somewhat unfinished, to draw your attention to the space, rather than having you rely on the comfort or convenience that it could provide. Basalt is the material that covers the façade of the building, the windows that encompass different views of Jeju’s sea, unfamiliar heights or unconventional arrangement of furniture, are meant to calm, slow and quiet your time and mind in our space. Rooms are located from the 2nd to 4th floors and every room offers a sea view. We kept everything minimalistic to maximize your experience at (salt), so you can concentrate on Jeju’s changing seasons of the sky, wild waves, and on your private moments in this space. Just as salt reveals itself after the ocean water dries out under the sun, focus on just being present rather than constantly running with the daily grind of life.

(salt)의 모든 객실은 애월의 바다를 바라보는 자세와 태도에 의해 디자인되었습니다. 변덕스러운 제주의 바람, 계절마다 다른 높이의 하늘, 시시각각 바뀌는 모습의 바다를 대하는 방법에 집중했습니다. 처음 객실 문을 열면서 마주하는 먼 풍경, 창문 가까이 다가가 발견하는 풍경, 편하게 앉아 조용히 감상하는 풍경, 이른 아침 커튼을 걷으며 열리는 풍경을 공유하고 싶었습니다. 다른 디자인, 다른 생각을 갖고 대상을 바라보게 되면 그 모습도 달리보이게 됩니다. 그 경험을 존중하기에 다른 모든 것을 최소화하고 그 하나에만 집중했습니다.

All of the rooms at (salt) are designed from our interpretation of how we believe you should perceive and absorb Aewol’s landscape. We took into account Jeju’s unpredictable wind, along with a sky which changes height every season, to an ever-changing wave of Jeju’s sea. Each room at (salt) focuses on providing various views that you should not miss. Whether you are enjoying the view in comfortable silence or waking up to it in the morning, our unique design and simplified changes will allow you to focus on the things that matter most.

건물 내 주차는 가능하지만 매우 협소합니다. 먼저 짐을 내리시고 고내포구 정자 옆으로 공영 주차장을 이용하시면 편리합니다.

We have a parking lot, but it is very compact. We recommend you unload the luggage first and then park the car at the parking lot next to Gonae Port, where the small pavilion is.
